Delight Yourself in the Lord

How often do we stop the busyness and rush of life and truly delight in the Lord? How often do we slow down and find rest in Him? If you’re anything like me, it’s definitely not often enough. If we’re not careful, our commitments and responsibilities and schedules will run our lives and draw us away from Him.

Taking time to rest means trusting that the Lord has got your life in His hands. It means taking time to set aside the guilt that may come from what you feel you’re “not doing,” as you rest in Him. It means setting aside the “to do” list and instead spending time in His Word and in prayer.

So often we lose sight of what He really wants for our lives and for our hearts. He wants to spend time with you. He wants to hear your thoughts, and worries and prayers. He wants you to slow down long enough to dream with Him. To align your heart in His and to truly dream God-sized dreams for your future.

He wants to encourage you in the areas you need encouragement. He wants to speak strength into your areas of weakness and trust into your areas of doubt. He wants to tell you that you ARE enough and that everything you do in His name makes Him smile. He wants your hearts to be so in tune with each other that the desires of His heart are the desires of your heart.

Jesus truly delights in you. 
Take the time to delight in Him.❤️
